Brookfield Hotel Emsworth Review

Brookfield Hotel and Hermitage Restaurant

For this months meal, Mike took us back to Emsworth for a Sunday lunch to remember. The hotel offers a great deal on its restaurants 3 course meals costing just £16.99 including tea/coffee and petite fours. On arriving, the gang were seated in the lounge for a drink and a chance to peruse the menu. There are four choices for the starters and main courses, all of which were able to please each member of the group.

Our orders were taken at the table, allowing us to chat over our drinks and really build up our hunger! Once our first course was nearly ready, we were called to the table for bread rolls etc and then out came the starters!! They were presented beautifully and tasted just as nice. The men were impressed by their mackerel as were the ladies and their mushrooms in cream sauce.

The mains were just as nice, although the ladies did find their chicken a little on the dry side. The portion sizes were just right with delicious vegetables served to you at the table by the waiter.

But, the total wonderful, culinary moment????? The dessert trolley!!! A wide range of desserts to choose from which the gang found hard to choose from. The white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake in particular was to die for!! You haven't lived until you have tried it!! We then were treated to tea/coffee with the choice of the garden or the lounge. With the weather being so nice, we opted for the garden!! What a lovely way to end a lovely meal!

All in all, the facilities were clean, the staff were friendly and the food absolutely wowed us!! We have only taken off one point for the chicken, unfortunately. So, well done Mike for choosing this little wonder which we would recommend to all!!

Marks out of ten .....................................9 (Mikes choice)
